I think the engine depended on boost at some point, because even the mention of it gives me ptsd.

The problem here is that NxM would be completely fine, but the previousl implementation sends N x M x M messages :D

Ive checked out chris's example branch, lovely stuff, managed to crash it in two minutes, and have now gone done the rabbit hole of updating stacktrace translator :D
